We loved the cozy atmosphere and the delicious lentil soup at dinner! The garden area was perfect for unwinding after a long day, and the leisure room was a nice touch too. Only downside was the view from our room wasn't great, but it definitely didn’t spoil our stay! 😊

Great spot to base your adventures!
We had such a fab time here! The place was super clean, and the food was on point. The bar area was lively with great banter from locals. Only thing was the bathroom could use some updating. But we really enjoyed our stay, and the friendly vibes made it even better.

I had a lovely stay at The Blackhorse in Newton Stewart, which turned out to be more than I expected. The staff welcomed me warmly right at the door. The room looked recently decorated, bright, and very inviting. It had everything I needed and a comfortable bed that promised a good night's sleep. I particularly liked the quiet location of my room, away from the bar noise. The bathroom was spacious with free toiletries, which added a nice touch. I appreciated the well-stocked bar area and the charming beer garden, making it a great spot to unwind. the hotel does not serve breakfast, which might be inconvenient for some guests, although plenty of nearby eateries helped fill the gap. Parking was on-street, which didn’t bother me too much. The only real issue I encountered was the bathroom light. it was overly bright and could be better managed. All in all, it felt like a hidden gem in a picturesque setting, just in need of a few small tweaks to enhance the stay further.

The bar had a nice beer garden, and the food was scrumptious. The pizza was a highlight, really tasty. I felt very welcome throughout my stay.
